Established in 1965, IKON has exhibited many contemporary artists over the decades including Diane Arbus, Chris Orr MBE and Birmingham photorealist John Salt. Since moving to the Grade II listed neo-gothic building, IKON have notably worked with Gillian Wearing to develop the public artwork ‘A Real Birmingham Family’ (2014), displayed at nearby Centenary Square.
